We are working with a fast-growing automation and AI-driven software company building backend systems that automate real operational workflows for clients in sectors such as automotive and financial services.

This is not a front-end heavy role. It is backend, systems-focused engineering.

The team build long-running background services, distributed processing systems and automation workflows that move data between platforms and trigger real-world business actions.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Building and maintaining C# /.NET backend services

* Developing long-running background processes and hosted services

* Designing and supporting distributed systems

* Working with SQL Server and optimising data performance

* Integrating systems via APIs and automation tooling

* Supporting and debugging production systems

* Collaborating in a small, high-ownership engineering team

Tech Environment

* C# / .NET

* ASP.NET Core

* SQL Server

* Azure

* Background services / hosted services

* Messaging systems (e.g. Rabbit

MQ or similar)

* Python and RPA tools used in certain automation workflows

What We’re Looking For

* Strong C# /.NET backend experience

* Experience building or maintaining background services

* Exposure to distributed systems or microservices

* Solid SQL knowledge

* Some Azure experience

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

* Someone who takes ownership and communicates clearly under pressure

Experience with automation tools or messaging systems is a bonus, not essential.

* London meetups roughly every two months (travel expensed)
