Your ability to quickly learn about the product, business, and technology is your superpower. • Have 6+ years of experience
• Operate independently, but seek help and support when needed
• Revel in your craft and are excited by and capable of owning large backend projects
• Collaborate effectively with other experienced engineers, including application/front‑end engineers
• Make sound trade‑offs and avoid over‑indexing on trendy technology; prefer supported, stable tech
• Use customer problems as input into designing systems, creating simple, elegant solutions
• Consider observability, SLA and scalability implications while avoiding premature optimization
• Feel at home with AWS, Postgres, and Node.js
• Bring your authentic self to work and engage in candid, respectful feedback
• Build sustainably and manage your time and priorities as best suits your needs
• Enjoy the journey as much as the destination, but never lose sight of the destination
• Demonstrate pride, ownership, and accountability for your work, and expect the same from others

We use Type Script with Node.js, TypeGraph

QL for API endpoints, Apollo/Express as our web server, Postgres (hosted on RDS), and Click House as our database. Front‑end is React and infrastructure is on AWS.
