The Sophomore Summit is a three‑day event at our Home Office in Northwest Arkansas, offering insights into careers, culture, and connections at the Fortune 1 company. Invited students will get a deeper look into life at Walmart and interview for a 2027 internship.

Walmart Global Tech is building AI systems that operate at massive scale—powering search, personalization, demand forecasting, supply chain optimization, and intelligent automation across the world’s largest retailer.

We are looking for students with strong foundations in machine learning, deep learning, and software engineering who want to build production‑grade AI models with real‑world impact.

• Design, train, and evaluate machine learning models using large-scale datasets.
• Apply deep learning techniques to structured and unstructured data (text, images, time series).
• Partner with engineers and product teams to deploy models into production.
• Perform error analysis, feature engineering, and model optimization.
• Contribute to scalable ML pipelines and MLOps workflows.

• Graduating December 2027 – August 2028.
• Undergraduate enrolled in CS, EE, Math, Stats, or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python (experience with Java/Scala a plus).
• Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals.
• Experience implementing ML models from scratch or using frameworks.
• Coursework or projects demonstrating applied AI skills.
