We are seeking a talented and experienced Unreal Technical Artist – Gameplay Systems to join our team who will serve a key role in creating systems and game mechanics in Unreal Engine! This position can be from anywhere within Canada and is fully remote!

What You’ll Do:
- Design and build reusable gameplay systems and mechanics using Unreal Engine Blueprints
- Develop and maintain animation systems, state machines, and animation-driven gameplay logic
- Create and support NPCs using behavior trees, AI controllers, and automated gameplay systems
- Build and maintain UMG-based user interfaces that integrate cleanly with gameplay systems
- Profile, debug, and optimize gameplay systems to ensure strong runtime performance
- Implement procedural and data-driven content systems where appropriate
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to turn gameplay requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Work within a Perforce-based version control and multi-user production environment
What You Need:
- Strong experience developing gameplay systems in Unreal Engine using Blueprint scripting
- Solid understanding of Unreal animation systems, including animation blueprints and state machines
- Experience building and maintaining NPCs, AI behaviors, and automated gameplay systems
- Proficiency with UMG UI development and gameplay-driven UI logic
- Experience profiling and optimizing gameplay performance in Unreal Engine
- Good understanding of 3D math concepts (vectors, transforms, rotations, interpolation)
- Comfort working in a collaborative environment using Perforce
- Ability to create systems that are reusable, maintainable, and production-ready
Nice To Have:
- Experience with C++ in Unreal Engine
- Knowledge of Niagara and real-time VFX systems
- Experience with HLSL, GLSL, or shader development
- Familiarity with Maya or other DCC tools
- Previous experience working in animation or TV production pipelines
