Senior Software Engineer; Java

MCS Group is working exclusively with a high-growth software company with deep roots in Belfast. We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java to join a growing team within their engineering function in Belfast. As a Senior Java Developer, you'll be part of a group driving transformation across some pretty unique industries, helping global brands through the creation of cutting-edge products and cloud solutions.

• The Senior Software Engineer will design and build new features for a large-scale SaaS platform
• Enhancing CI/CD pipelines and automating delivery to production
• Using AI-assisted tools to boost productivity and innovation
• Participating in code reviews and mentoring other engineers

Tech environment: Java, Spring Boot, React, Python, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, AWS, SQL

• You'll have solid commercial experience in software development (SaaS or cloud environments)
• Strong skills in Java and while predominantly backend focused, you'll have some exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Type Script)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerisation
• Comfortable working across the stack but most importantly interested in taking ownership of delivery and playing an important part in a close-knit engineering function.

• Up to £80,000 plus benefits.
