Data Architect
Job Title: Data Architect (AWS)
Location: Remote (CST)
Pay Range: $80-$87/hr
Term: 1 Year Contract initially
Lead the design and implementation of a modern AWS-based data lakehouse architecture. This role is 80% hands-on and 20% strategic, ensuring scalability, governance, and compliance for enterprise data initiatives.
Responsibilities- Design and implement data lakehouse architecture using AWS services.
- Define and enforce data governance frameworks and standards.
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate data sources and optimize performance.
- Support data mesh architecture and distributed data ownership.
- Provide strategic input on architecture while actively coding and building solutions.
- Deep expertise in AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, Step Functions).
- Strong experience in data architecture and data mesh principles
. - Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Hands-on experience with large-scale data integration and transformation.
- Familiarity with compliance-heavy industries (Healthcare, Financial Services).
- Experience with automated governance and metadata management.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution.
- Collaborative and respectful in team settings.
