Plan A Technologies is looking for a Lead QA Engineer
with a passion for mobile gaming to spearhead the quality assurance strategy for our free-to-play (F2P), live-operated titles. In this role, you will go beyond simple bug hunting; you will architect testing frameworks, lead a team of testers, and ensure our live operations run seamlessly for millions of players. You will be the gatekeeper of quality, balancing rapid content updates with a polished player experience.
Please note: you must have at least 8+ years in Game QA, with at least 5+ years in a Lead role to be considered for this role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITYDefine and implement the end-to-end testing strategy for mobile games, focusing on high-frequency live-op updates.
Oversee the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans and cases within Test Rail.
Coordinate with Producers and Engineers to manage the "Live Ops" cycle, ensuring stability during events, patches, and store updates.
Work within Unity to assist in debugging, identifying performance bottlenecks, and validating assets.
Lead, mentor, and scale the QA team, fostering a culture of excellence and attention to detail.
EXPERIENCE8+ years in Game QA, with at least 5+ years in a Lead role.
Proven track record with
Free-to-Play (F2P) mobile games andLive Operations(handling real-time events and server-side updates).
Expert proficiency inTestRailfor organizing and tracking large-scale test cycles.
Basic knowledge of the Unity Editor(e.g., navigating scenes, checking logs, or basic C# understanding) is a strong advantage.
Deep understanding ofiOS (App Store Connect) and Android (Google Play Console) submission and testing requirements
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Excellent organizational, problem solver, and analytical abilities
Outstanding communication, and interpersonal skills
Initiative and drive to do great things
Preferred QualificationsExperience with performance testing (FPS, battery consumption, memory leaks) on low-to-high-end mobile devices.
Familiarity with back-end testing for multiplayer games or real-time leaderboards.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines as they relate to mobile game builds (e.g., Jenkins or Git Hub Actions).
