Senior Software Engineer, Guest & Host; Listing

The Listing Backend Onboarding and Management team's mission is to enable Host journey success by implementing the backend functionality to power the main tools that our Hosts use to create and manage our Stays and Experiences.. The team works closely with the Client Engineering, Product Management, and Design teams to define the requirements and bring them to life. This team also works closely with the functional teams (Partner API, User, Cohosting, Pricing, etc.)

as they share dependencies related to the Listing domain. The Listings Backend Onboarding and Management is typically a core part of the biannual Airbnb releases, which directly contribute to the company’s success.

• Collaboration with the Client Engineering, Product Management, and Design teams to align on product requirements.
• Driving the scoping, technical requirements, design, implementation, and operation of new functionality
• Building high-quality, re-usable backend components,
• Mentoring and supporting other engineers in the team or in related teams.

• 6+ years industry experience
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
• Experience in building high-quality, consumer-facing products
• Ability to evaluate technical approaches and design product solutions to solve real-world problems.
• Ability to drive alignment, manage projects and effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
• Experiences mentoring junior engineers

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

Pay Range $195,000 — $220,000 USD
