. This is a remote position based in Europe, working on a contract (B2B) basis within the Engineering department.

YLD is a remote-first consultancy specialising in software engineering, product design, and data. Our teams are based across London, Lisbon, and Porto, creating digital solutions that deliver lasting value.

As a Senior Software Engineer at YLD, you’ll be part of a client team building innovative products. We’re looking for someone curious, passionate, driven, and enthusiastic, skilled in problem‑solving, and experienced in designing scalable, resilient, and fault‑tolerant architectures. You should be an effective communicator and a strong team player, thriving in a fast‑paced engineering environment.

• Commercial experience with React and Node.
• In‑depth knowledge of CSS (Tailwind, CSS in JS, CSS Modules, etc.).
• Thoughtful component composition and state management (MobX, Redux, Context, etc.).
• Familiarity with modern build tools (esbuild, Vite, Yarn, Turborepo, etc.).
• Experience with documentation generation for libraries and components.
• Proficient with linting and formatting tools.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Testing expertise (Unit, Integration, E2E, Visual Regression).
• Comfort with design tools (Figma) and related APIs.
• Experience with Design Systems.
• Knowledge of Type Script.
