At Jimdo we are committed to providing innovative solutions that empower our users' creativity. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will strengthen and scale our backend systems, ensuring they remain robust, efficient, and effective.

• Design, develop, and optimize API services with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate backend solutions seamlessly.
• Uphold code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve backend issues, aiming for minimal downtime.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Provide insights and feedback to the Tech Lead and stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and timelines.

• Minimum 5 years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin;
  Java experience is beneficial.
• Hands‑on experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Effective team collaboration.
• Hands‑on experience with Agentic Coding best practices, leveraging AI agents.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (JavaScript, Type Script, or React) is a plus.
• Experience building IAM solutions is a plus.
