OverviewWe are hiring a Linux Devices Software Engineer on the SnapD team to work on mission‑critical Golang code focused on software delivery, containers, security sandboxing, telemetry, and device management. This role calls for an obsession with quality and performance, with an interest in the software publishing and consumption experience.
LocationThis role is remote, based in the EMEA or Americas regions.
Responsibilities- Collaborate proactively with a distributed team
- Write high‑quality code to create new features
- Debug Linux system‑level issues and produce quality fixes
- Review code produced by other engineers
- Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding good solutions
- Obsess over achieving robustness despite unexpected events (e.g., power outages)
- Work from home, with global travel up to two weeks, twice a year
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field
- Professional software development experience using Go, Python, C, or C++
- Knowledge of Linux system‑level fundamentals (cgroups, name spaces, App Armor)
- Experience with Golang is a plus
- Commitment to software testing, code reviews, and maintainable code
- Love technology and working with brilliant people; curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable
