Software Development Engineer in Test
DTEX Systems is looking for a talented Software Development Engineer in Test with strong knowledge of SDLC, QE processes, and automation technologies.
What You Will Do- Understand complex software architectures and design validation strategy from a QE perspective.
- Write test strategy and test cases for feature validation and bug fixes.
- Develop test strategies covering positive, negative, A/B, performance, and interoperability testing.
- Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using tools such as Selenium and Cypress.
- Participate in technical discussions and provide QE feedback.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report defects accurately.
- Log defects in a tracking system and follow up with developers for timely resolution.
- Prioritize test cases and identify suitable automation testing areas.
- Develop and execute performance tests to identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) for rapid feedback.
- BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in automation and software testing.
- Excellent analytical and technical skills.
- Strong Linux OS knowledge as an advanced system administrator.
- Proficiency in scripting languages:
Python, Power Shell, and Bash. - Experience with virtualization tools such as Virtual Box, VMware ESXi, and their automation use.
- Understanding of enterprise software technologies:
Web servers (Apache HTTP) and database servers (Postgre
SQL). - Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Knowledge of security tools and vulnerability scanners.
- Exposure to big data concepts and technologies:
Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Redis, and Apache Spark. - Experience with AWS.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills. Base salary range (SF Bay Area) $120,000–$160,000.
