Senior Software Developer

Our recruitment firm represents a client currently seeking an accomplished Senior Software Developer to join their dynamic team. This role is an excellent opportunity to utilise your extensive skills to produce scalable software solutions, contributing across the entire software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

• Collaborate with development teams and product managers to ideate and execute software solutions.
• Design client-side and server-side architecture.
• Develop and maintain efficient databases and applications.
• Test software for responsiveness and efficiency, conducting regular troubleshooting, debugging and upgrading of software.
• Develop and implement robust security and data protection measures.
• Write comprehensive technical documentation in flawless English.
• Collaborate with the team to refine and enhance software.

• Proven background as a Senior Developer or equivalent role.
• Experience in web-based application development; knowledge in desktop and mobile application development will be considered a plus.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills with proficiency in designing comprehensive solutions.
• Familiarity with common stacks and understanding of code runtime environments.
• Comfort with SQL-based databases (e.g. MySQL, MSSQL), web servers (e.g. Apache) and Linux server commands; familiarity with at least one other database technology (e.g. Mongo
  
  DB) will be advantageous.
• Systematic approach to debugging.
• Experience with Git source control.
• Knowledge of automated testing will be a plus.
• Exceptional English communication and teamwork skills.
• High level of attention to detail.

An attractive salary range of £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, with the added benefit of a monthly bonus.
