What you’ll do:

• Design develop and operate reliable scalable APIs and services in Python with Django and Django REST Framework.
• Lead architectural changes that simplify the system: data modeling improvements, service boundaries, messaging patterns and zero‑downtime migrations.
• Collaborate with Dev Ops on pipelines and infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform and promote trunk‑based development and deployment safety.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure high code quality and system reliability.
• Collaborate with Frontend, Mobile, UX and Product to shape solutions and negotiate APIs that improve developer experience and user outcomes.
• Mentor engineers through structured feedback, pairing and design reviews. Contribute to chapter knowledge sharing through talks and docs.

What you bring:

• Expert‑level Python with Django and Django REST Framework. Strong understanding of RESTful API design and versioning.
• Strong SQL and Postgre
  
  SQL expertise including performance tuning, indexing, partitioning and schema evolution.
• Experience building resilient asynchronous systems using Celery and message brokers such as Rabbit
  
  MQ.
• Practical caching strategies with Redis including eviction policies and cache‑aside patterns.
• Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Git Hub Actions for safe fast delivery with canaries and feature flags.
• Product‑focused observability with SLIs/SLOs, actionable alerts and trace‑to‑log correlation.
• Fix and prevent: diagnose with profiling and tracing then instrument, document and test to avoid regressions.
• A data‑driven mindset with a focus on problem‑solving and decision‑making.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges, suggest improvements and take initiative in problem‑solving.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work seamlessly across design, product and engineering teams.
