Pixieset is hiring a Full Stack Software Developer to help shape how photographers discover, sign up for, and grow with our platform - supporting over 1.5 million users worldwide.

This role sits on our Growth team, where you'll work across multiple products and codebases, focusing on backend development, A/B experimentation, and optimizing high-impact areas like registration and pricing. You'll also help build and expand new growth initiatives like localization as Pixieset continues to scale, while taking ownership of meaningful technical work.

Your Impact

• Design, develop, and implement product features across the full stack, with a focus on backend development using PHP (Laravel), while also working with Javascript (Vue.js/React)
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code to support scalable backend systems, user-facing functionality and experimentation (including A/B testing)
• Deliver everything from user-facing improvements to backend optimizations and scalable system enhancements spanning multiple codebases
• Help improve and maintain the Pixieset product architecture, APIs, databases, and infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders to define requirements, solve complex technical challenges, and drive growth outcomes
• Participate in thoughtful code reviews, mentor teammates, and uphold high engineering quality and best practices
• Research and integrate new technologies to enhance performance, security, and the development process

Role Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and delivering high-quality production software, ideally on a Growth or user analytics-driven team
• Able to build and operate scalable backend services using modern frameworks
• Solid knowledge of relational databases with proficiency in SQL and the ability to design schemas
• Working knowledge of frontend fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript; Vue/React a plus)
• Proven ownership of medium-to-large features end-to-end, from design through implementation, testing, and production support
• Proven ability to write, review, and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and system stability
• Produces and reviews clear technical documentation that improves system clarity and team effectiveness
• Strong collaboration skills, curiosity, and a user-centered approach to problem-solving, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and evolving requirements

The typical salary range for this position is CAD $94,050 - $128,100 annually. Salary offered will be based on skills, experience and market data.
