Senior C# .Net Backend Software Engineer

Position:
Senior Software Engineer focusing on scalable, reliable backend solutions. Remote work within 50 miles of a Zelis location (Boston, MA; Morristown, NJ; Atlanta, GA; St. Petersburg, FL; Plano, TX; St. Louis, MO).

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with product management, quality assurance, and operations to understand requirements.
• Communicate project progress and resolve issues with stakeholders.
• Engage in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot defects and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Continuously improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and automated tests.
• Help ensure software meets functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Contribute to process, tool, and methodology improvements.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficient in C# and .Net.
• SQL experience: stored procedures, triggers, indexes, and views.
• Knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Version control using Git.
• Experience with AI tools such as Co‑Pilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.

• Backend:
  JavaScript, Java, Python, or Spring.
• Front‑end:
  Blazor, Angular, or React.

• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
• Agile and Scrum methodology knowledge.
