OverviewLiquidity Management Service (LMS) is a part of the Corporate Bank Liquidity Domain. Large multi‑national corporations have thousands of accounts world‑wide in a variety of currencies. To optimize balance management, Deutsche Bank offers a cash concentration product that consolidates client account balances into a much smaller set of accounts every day – providing the client a smaller and more consolidated footprint of account balances to manage their daily liquidity.
The Liquidity Management Service (LMS) provides this Cash Concentration capability – consolidating balances across accounts based on flexible rules in a highly scalable and efficient manner.
As a senior backend developer, you will get involved in designing, enhancing, and maintaining a set of services/micro‑services that comprise the Liquidity Management Service application.

- Lead a team of backend developers, interact with the Product team to help formulate and fully groom requirements and prioritize work
- Take full ownership of your tasks: estimate, design, develop and test new functionality, document design decisions
- Participate and lead code reviews and test automation activities
- Collaborate on technical analysis and design, contribute to the definition of the future state of the system architecture
- Interact with the Product team
- Interact with OPS teams in various regions and the L2 team
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
- Strong Java and strong concurrency skills
- Strong Spring/Spring Boot experience
- Strong experience with a messaging system, preferably Kafka
- Strong experience with a major relational database, preferably Oracle
- Extensive experience in critical application development with transaction processing flows (payments, trades, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Strong Oracle, Kotlin, and Kafka skills
- Knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI and IBM Message Queue (MQ)
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $125,000 to $203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
