As a Software Principal Engineer, you will get the opportunity to work with our world class talent in designing and implement advanced features for the data mobility area of our product in a fast‑paced, agile development environment.

• Lead technical design and implementation of advanced data mobility capabilities while building deep domain expertise.
• Own all aspects of feature delivery from design and development to release, support, and maintenance.
• Actively participate (and lead when needed) in agile ceremonies to ensure team commitments are met.
• Drive design and code reviews with architects and developers to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
• Stay informed on AI trends, tools, and best practices to identify opportunities for improving product capabilities and team efficiency.

• Bachelors (Technical)/Masters preferred, with 8+ years of strong design, development and technical leadership experience
• Proven track record in applying advanced software engineering concepts / design patterns in designing complex, distributed systems
• Demonstrated expertise in Java (preferably RxJava) and Vert.x with various operating systems (Linux, Windows)
• Familiarity with scripting languages in open systems i.e. Python and experience in developing REST API based interfaces
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical experience in leveraging AI tools or frameworks to improve developer experience, automate workflows, and drive innovation in software development
• 6 to 8 years of related experience
• Experience in building products and solutions for the storage domain

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $230,000.
