Job Description Who You'll Work With
Arista Networks is seeking candidates to join the Professional Services (Software Development) team. This team is a global team of software engineers working to deliver high quality and robust software to help Arista's customers and internal colleagues achieve their goals and solve interesting real-life problems.
What You'll Do
The team's work can be divided into three main areas:
Network automation:
Developing innovative frameworks for customers by leveraging cutting-edge network automation techniquesSoftware customizations:
Designing and implementing solutions to help customers deploy and operate advanced networking infrastructureEfficiency enablement:
Building software tools to help internal and external collaborators work more productively when deploying, migrating and operating networksQualifications
Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years professional software development experienceProficiency in Python, Golang or RustExpertise in version control systems ( Git Hub, Git Lab, Bitbucket)Knowledge of testing frameworks ( PyTest, GoMock)Understanding of IP networking and/or distributed systemsExperience with Unix or LinuxComfortable working in all phases of software development life cyclePersonable with excellent communication skillsGreat problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently, and also collaborate effectively within a teamKeen intellect with willingness to keep learning and developingKnowledge and/or willingness to make use of AI tooling to improve software development productivityDesired Experience
Experience with CI platforms ( Git Hub, Git Lab, Jenkins)Familiarity with design and implementation of scalable cloud-based web applications using GCPFamiliarity with creation and management of cloud-based infrastructure using IaC (Infrastructure as code) tools like TerraformFamiliarity with container technologies ( Docker, Podman, Kubernetes) and service orchestration ( Ansible, Terraform)Familiarity with Nautobot or NetboxExperience with data center networking, management and orchestrationExperience building third party software integrations and APIsExperience working in a customer-facing role#LI-PA1
Additional Information
The new hire base pay for this role has a pay range of $89,000 to $140,000. Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.
The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. Employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, income protection and a Group Retirement Savings Plan.
