Position SummaryWe are looking to hire a talented, eager, and skilled Mid-Level Full Stack PHP Developer to join our team in a remote position. The Mid-Level Full Stack Developer is responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of our software solutions. They should possess expertise in PHP, Docker, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Mongo
DB. Additionally, a strong background in Agile methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Scrum practices is essential.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using PHP, Symfony, and other web development technologies.
- Work with a team of developers to implement new features and bug fixes.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure the quality of the code.
- Optimize web applications for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Document code and processes.
- Help identify problems and collaborate with senior developers to generate solutions promptly.
- Mentor and train Junior developers.
- Testing other developers’ functionality.
- Ability to estimate given tasks and manage key dates and deadlines.
- Integrating with APIs and collaborating to solve issues.
- Write back-end code and build efficient PHP modules.
- On-Call Rotation:
When scheduled in the on-call rotation, the developer is expected to be available after hours for the duration of their assigned week to respond to critical issues and support operational continuity.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of PHP 5.4+ experience.
- Strong understanding of PHP, Docker, HTML, Nginx, Twig, Symfony, Mongo
DB, CSS, Git, PHPUnit, Linux, and jQuery. - Experience with Agile, test-driven, and Scrum development methodologies.
- HIPAA compliance knowledge.
- EU Data Privacy Directive knowledge.
- Knowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologies.
