The PositionWe’re looking to hire a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our team. You'll work with our incredible clients in one of two ways:
- Team Augmentation:
You will integrate directly into our client's team and work alongside their existing designers and engineers daily. - Design & Build:
You will work on a Full Stack product team to build and deliver a product to our clients.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Firmware Engineer or Embedded Systems Engineer.
- Advanced English is required.
- Successful completion of a four‑year college degree is required.
- Strong hands‑on experience developing embedded firmware using C and C++.
- Proven experience working with ESP
32 platforms, with a strong preference for ESP
32‑C6. - Solid understanding of microcontroller architecture, memory management, interrupts, peripherals, and real‑time constraints.
- Hands‑on experience with audio processing, audio streaming, or real‑time signal handling on embedded devices.
- Demonstrated experience optimizing firmware for low‑power consumption, performance, and reliability in constrained environments.
- Experience taking embedded systems from prototype through production, including support for manufacturing bring‑up and field issues.
- Comfort working closely with hardware teams through multiple board revisions, hardware debugging cycles, and manufacturing timelines.
- Experience debugging hardware‑software interactions using tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG or SWD debuggers.
- Strong understanding of embedded development workflows, including code reviews, documentation, and testability.
- Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
- Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.
- Forensic attention to detail.
- A positive mindset and a can‑do attitude.
- Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
