Genesis
10 is currently seeking a Lead, Platform Engineer with our client in Newark, NJ. This is a 6‑month contract, hybrid remote position requiring 3 days onsite per week.

Summary

As a Lead, Platform Engineer in Finance Management Transformation
, you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to improve financial forecasting. You will code, test, and debug new and existing applications, implement capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, and deploy innovative products, services, and experiences to delight customers. In addition to advanced technical expertise, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication, teamwork skills, agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude, and a continuous learning focus.

Responsibilities
  • Configure and build applications ensuring the solution follows latest practices and industry standards for Anaplan, using modern design patterns and architectural principles; remove technical impediments.
  • Develop high quality, well documented, and efficient design adhering to all applicable Prudential standards that stay aligned with platform vendor roadmap and direction.
  • Design the business logic and integration patterns with Prudential Ecosystem, using modern integration, data, and security patterns.
  • Write integration tests and functional automation, research problems discovered by quality assurance or product support, develop solutions to address them.
  • Bring a strong understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, provide input and coach team members, embed learning and innovation in the day‑to‑day.
  • Work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variables.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields.
  • Ability to coach others with minimal guidance and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives for the benefit of the organization.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Test‑Driven Development (TDD).
  • Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business.
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an ongoing basis through self‑initiative and tackling challenges.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Advanced experience and/or expertise with several of the following:
    • Master Anaplan Certification (a plus).
    • Unit, interface, and end‑user testing concepts and tooling (functional & non‑functional).
    • Advanced knowledge with Anaplan: configuration and administration of core capabilities, data model, integrations, security, and access control.
  • Project/Product Management: planning, progress monitoring, status reporting, visualization of work; scaling Agile; organizing, synchronizing multiple team setups; estimating ROI; project life‑cycle.
  • Effective Communication: understanding of communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to transmit, receive, and interpret ideas, information, and needs accurately; facilitate dialogue at the right level of detail for all Agile team members.
  • Decision‑Making & Critical Thinking: knowledge of decision‑making processes and tools; ability to analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Business Acumen: application of business concepts, tools, and processes to diverse situations.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: techniques and abilities to work with diverse individuals and groups constructively and collaboratively; liaison role with business partners and software developers.
  • Financial Acumen: understanding of financial concepts, tools, and processes; how financial metrics are used to monitor and drive outcomes (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow, budget, forecast).
  • Analytical Thinking: techniques and tools promoting effective analysis; determine root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions.

Pay Rate Range
