Senior Full Stack Software Engineer – Remote (US)

Knock is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to develop technology for  and supporting platforms. This backend‑focused role requires expertise across the full stack.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Architect and build scalable backend services using Node.js and Type Script.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex integration projects, including third‑party lending systems and RESTful/RPC APIs.
• Contribute to AI‑powered features, integrating AI services to enhance risk analysis and decision‑making.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and business partners.
• Champion best practices in architecture, security, testing, monitoring, and deployment.
• Provide mentorship, share knowledge, and take initiative on technical challenges.
• Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule.

• At least 5 years of experience building production‑grade software, with at least 3 years writing production‑level Node.js code.
• Backend expertise using Type Script and Node.js (required).
• Experience integrating AI/ML services into production applications (highly desired).
• Product‑minded engineering approach.
• Comfortable with frontend work (React/Next.js) when needed.
• Database proficiency with RDBMS and SQL (MySQL or Postgre
  
  SQL).
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred).
• Belief in creating diverse, equitable, and inclusive practices.
• Proven success working 100% remote.

• Set up and constantly operate a computer.
• Communicate and exchange accurate information to others via telephone or internet video applications.

Salary range: $156,000 - $185,000 USD.
