We focus on hiring the core team and senior talent to work together in person in NYC to build a collaborative and supportive culture. But we’re still open to hiring best-in-class remote talent anywhere within 6 hours of the NYC timezone.

Description:
We are looking for a backend software engineer to help us build Skip Go, a completely open-source, full-stack platform for chain abstraction, powering the next generation of crypto experiences.

The ideal candidate is product-oriented and cares deeply about delivering cross-chain experiences that are both intuitive to developers and seamless to end users. They are excited to learn about the various interoperability protocols and use them to improve our product experiences. They understand the critical importance of ensuring the safety of the billions of dollars in value our products facilitate and are well accustomed to thinking adversarially about the code they produce.

Role:

• Work collaboratively with engineers, product, and partners to design and implement new features in the suite of Skip Go backend services.
• Develop testing and observability strategies that encompass the many interactions between the on-chain and off-chain components of our products.
• Serve as the expert on and primary owner of a critical sub-system in Skip Go (e.g. trade optimization engine, relayer, etc…)

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills
• Proven experience working collaboratively within a team to ship high-quality software
• Interest in crypto and blockchains
