Our BI & ICT Consulting client (German) is seeking an experienced Odoo developer to join their SA‑based team. You will work from home anywhere in SA for this German organisation. As an Odoo developer, you will develop and customise Odoo modules to meet the business needs, collaborate with Directors and senior managers to analyse requirements, design solution updates, implement new features, troubleshoot and debug issues, and provide technical support to staff.

• Analyse and clarify functional specifications; write technical specifications and design technical structure.
• Implement business logic and carry out Odoo development activities such as Studio customisations, code migration, data import/export & migration, report generation, functional tests, user and acceptance tests, third‑party app installations, version upgrades, and application development using the Odoo framework and components.
• Bug fixing, performance optimisation, and production support.
• Work closely with the team to plan, scope, design, develop, test, implement, support and enhance business applications and their features/solutions.
• Assess impact of potential changes/customisations in core Odoo business apps and mitigate negative outcomes.
• Document and demonstrate solutions through documentation, flowcharts, algorithms, data‑flow diagrams, UI/UX diagrams, charts, code comments, and maintain clean, readable, and optimised code.
• Follow prescribed coding and development best practices, including continuous deployment & integration methods.
• Adapt to learning new skills, frameworks and languages.

• At least 3 years of Odoo SH experience (front and back‑end Studio).
• Proficiency in Python.
• Strong background in Odoo/OpenERP and experience as a Python software engineer in the ERP domain.
• A passion for solving problems and providing workable solutions.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills with visualisation of processes and outcomes.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging.
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Open‑minded towards foreign culture and working in an international environment.
