Senior Software Engineer I (Localization)

Articulate is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our amazing Localization team! As a Senior Software Engineer at Articulate, you’ll work closely with a talented team of software engineers, machine learning engineers, and designers to build industry‑leading products and solve interesting, complex problems. You’ll be responsible for large tasks and collaborate with engineering, product, and design to develop innovative solutions that leverage AI technology to create powerful transformative experiences for our users.

• Build new features and enhance existing ones with an eye for quality
• Focus on customers and iterate quickly to bring them value
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product leaders
• Mentor software engineers and review work constructively
• Participate in defining application architecture
• Participate in on‑call rotation and level up our incident response process

• A proven track record of implementing, shipping and maintaining production software
• 5+ years of experience working in a software engineering environment
• A history of collaborative, team‑based work
• Strong communication skills and an ability to clearly explain technical topics to engineers and non‑engineers alike
• Little need for direct oversight
• Ability to write clear, testable, and maintainable JavaScript/Type Script
• Proficiency with full‑stack JavaScript/Type Script technologies (React, Node.js, Postgres, Docker)
• Proficiency with backend technologies (Node.js, Postgres, Docker)
• Event‑driven architecture experience

• Experience building and operating software with LLM or generative vision model components
• AWS services (S3, SNS, SQS, Bedrock)
• OpenAI or similar Type Script, Python
• Awareness of the ethical implications of using AI

The pay range for this position is $137,700 to $182,426 for all US locations. This range represents our good faith expectation of what we reasonably expect to pay for this role based on factors including (but not limited to) skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, education, and other business and organizational needs.

This is a US‑based role and can be performed remotely from anywhere within the United States. Occasional travel for company events may be required. Employees must physically reside and work within the US throughout their employment and must immediately notify Articulate of any change of address.
