COMPA Industries is partnering with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) to hire a Software Developer 4 with deep experience in Service Now, ITSM, and enterprise platforms supporting mission‑critical national security programs
.

This role is ideal for a senior Service Now or enterprise developer who thrives in regulated environments and wants their work to directly support the DOE mission
.

This is a remote position supporting teams operating within the DOE complex.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex software applications
• Lead development across the full software lifecycle
• Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Perform code reviews and ensure quality, security, and compliance standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and system issues
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, project managers, and IT teams
• Create and maintain technical documentation and system artifacts
• Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and process improvement

• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Solid understanding of software architecture, APIs, and system integrations
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills Desired Skills & Experience (Strongly Preferred)
  • Service Now certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS, or equivalent)
  • ITIL v4 Foundation or higher certification
  • Hands‑on experience with Atlassian Jira for project tracking
  • Hands‑on experience with Atlassian Confluence for technical documentation
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL (Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Advanced degree or certifications a plus
