As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing AI-powered systems that enhance tax & accounting workflows through automation, intelligence, and seamless orchestration.
AboutThe Role
- Implement complex AI systems, including multi-component pipelines, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, and custom AI agents that power next‑generation tax & accounting solutions
- Ensure system quality and compliance by implementing comprehensive testing frameworks, monitoring tools, and ethical AI practices that maintain the highest standards of reliability and trustworthiness
- Proactively identify issues and risks, make data‑driven recommendations, and take corrective action to optimize system performance and mitigate potential challenges
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Product, UX, and Science to align AI features with product goals and translate functional requirements into robust technical specifications
- Conduct proof‑of‑concepts (POCs) to evaluate emerging technologies and explore the feasibility of AI solutions for innovative use cases
- Analyze existing systems and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and overall system architecture
- Continuous Learning – stay abreast of AI developments and encourage learning and adoption of relevant technologies
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years focused on AI/ML
- Proficiency in Python, with experience building web applications, distributed systems, and APIs
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch and Tensor Flow
- Strong understanding of AI/ML systems, including RAG architectures, AI agents, and agent‑based/AI‑driven systems; experience with AI APIs from providers like OpenAI and Anthropic
- Experience integrating AI models into production systems using APIs and data pipelines; knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and search‑based AI
- Strong understanding of machine learning principles, model evaluation, system design, and MLOps across the end‑to‑end lifecycle of AI‑powered applications
- Passion for exploring new technologies and engineering paradigms
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–3 years of AWS experience designing, deploying, and operating scalable cloud services (e.g., Lambda, S3, EC2 and related tools)
