We are looking for a Front End Engineer to join our distributed product team. In this role, you will be responsible for building the "face" of our applications, ensuring a seamless, high-performance, and accessible experience for all users.
As a remote-first organization, we value clear communication, self-motivation, and the ability to collaborate asynchronously. While this is a remote position, candidates must be able to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) core hours to facilitate real-time collaboration with our product and design teams.
Core Responsibilities- UI/UX Implementation:
Translate high-fidelity Figma designs and wireframes into clean, semantic, and responsive code. - Feature Development:
Build and maintain scalable, reusable components using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Next.js). - Performance Optimization:
Audit and improve web performance (Core Web Vitals) to ensure lightning-fast load times and smooth interactions. - API Integration:
Collaborate with Backend Engineers to integrate RESTful or Graph
QL APIs and manage application state effectively. - Accessibility (a11y):
Ensure all features meet WCAG 2.2/3.0 compliance standards, making our platform inclusive for all users. - Code Quality:
Participate in peer code reviews, write unit/integration tests (Jest, Cypress, or Playwright), and maintain technical documentation. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to advocate for technical feasibility and user-centric solutions.
- Experience:
3+ years of professional experience in front-end development (Mid to Senior level). - Tech Stack:
Mastery of JavaScript (ES6+), Type Script, and CSS3 (Tailwind, SCSS, or Styled Components). - Frameworks:
Proficiency in React 18/19 or Next.js. - Tooling:
Experience with modern build tools (Vite, Webpack) and version control (Git). - Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for a remote environment. - Schedule:
Ability to maintain a consistent 9-to-5 schedule within the EST time zone.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Git Hub Copilot, Cursor).
- Familiarity with Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Static Site Generation (SSG).
- Prior experience working in a fully remote, Agile/Scrum environment.
- Knowledge of mobile-first development and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $55 to $75. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
