Android Developer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated mid-level Android Developer for a contract role starting on 1 February. This opportunity is fully remote, based in London, and falls outside IR35. The successful candidate will contribute to an exciting Android platform project for an advanced technology group, working independently to deliver high-quality, maintainable code.

The role offers a competitive daily rate of £266 and a remote-friendly, collaborative team environment.

• Write and maintain Gradle build scripts using Kotlin DSL.
• Develop Android applications using modern Android development tools and practices, with a focus on Jetpack Compose for declarative UI.
• Implement and apply MVVM architectural patterns and modularisation best practices.
• Develop and maintain unit tests, applying solid testing principles for Android.
• Integrate and work with Graph
  
  QL APIs.
• Engage with CI/CD pipelines using Fastlane and Git Hub Actions.
• Possibly integrate identity providers, payment providers, or embed web flows into native Web Views (nice to have).

• Strong experience with Jetpack Compose and declarative UI.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, including Coroutines and Flow.
• Familiarity with MVVM architecture and modularisation best practices.
• Experience writing and maintaining Gradle build scripts using Kotlin DSL.
• Experience in unit testing and solid testing principles for Android.
• CI/CD experience with Fastlane and Git Hub Actions.
• Experience consuming and working with Graph
  
  QL APIs.

• Identity provider integration experience.
• Experience embedding web flows into native Web Views.
• Payment provider integration.

Fully Remote (UK-based only)

Initial 3-month contract with potential extension.
