AI Software Engineer, Ignite Tech (Remote)
Compensation: $100,000/year USD ($50/hr). This role is a full-time, contract position handled through Crossover.
Job OverviewIgnite Tech is a world‑class remote company transforming software development with Generative AI. This strategic role will lead architectural design, research, and practical application of AI to revolutionize our software systems.
Responsibilities- Architect AI‑driven automation systems that address complex development challenges (architecture generation, dependency management, predictive coding).
- Lead R&D, attend conferences, and engage with academic and professional AI communities to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies.
- Integrate and test GenAI code assistants such as Git Hub Copilot, Cursor.sh, and v0.dev in production environments.
- Implement Generative AI products, projects, or tools, demonstrating measurable gains in development speed, error reduction, and code quality.
- Design selection and application of LLMs (GPT, Claude, Mistral) and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for business challenges.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed AI into software offerings, shaping product strategy at a strategic level.
- Routine code maintenance or minor debugging of existing code.
- Basic software development tasks that do not involve AI integration.
- Minimum 3 years of full‑stack software development experience (front‑end and back‑end).
- Hands‑on experience with GenAI code assistants and demonstrated success in implementing Generative AI solutions.
- Proven ability to select and apply different LLMs to solve business problems.
- Clear understanding of selecting specific LLM models for various use cases.
- Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Visionary mindset and ability to drive AI‑driven innovation at a strategic level.
This is a full‑time (40 hours per week) contract position with weekly payment. Crossover handles independent contractor arrangements.
