Salesforce Developer - Remote

Pay Range

Base pay: $66.00/hr - $70.00/hr (based on skills and experience).

The position provides technical development for the Digital Transformation initiatives within My Cat Financial , Mobile Quote Application and Salesforce Sales & Service modules. It focuses on delivering Digital Transformation to enhance customer experience. The role requires a developer to work with the business tech team to gather requests for Salesforce development for the Sales and Service modules. About 90% of the work is development;

minimal Salesforce admin work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Gathering requirements, converting them into technical design, and developing responsive web solutions that support Caterpillar Financial strategic initiatives.
• Delivering solutions using REST API, Apex, and Lightning components.
• Proactively identifying potential risks or issues that could affect the system.

• Lightning development – proven ability to develop custom components/controllers in Lightning.
• Mobile app development with Ionic framework or similar.
• Angular framework experience.
• Object‑oriented programming.
• Building mobile‑responsive sites.
• Strong developer, Platform Developer II Certification (requested).
• Experience with Apex, SOAP, and REST APIs.
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Will spend significant time developing, but also meet with business partners; soft‑skills required.

Core hours 9:00am – 5:00pm, mix of individual work and meetings. On‑call hours required.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Salesforce Certified, Platform Developer II.

5+ years Salesforce development experience.

Required skills:

Apex development, Salesforce Lightning development, SOQL, Data Loader API, Salesforce Administration, Visual Force, ANT migration tool. Salesforce integration experience preferred. Familiarity with security best practices is a differentiating factor.

Ability to work closely with a team, strong communication, turning business requirements into technical design, development, and implementation.
