• Design, develop, deploy, and monitor significant new features in a high-availability, low-latency cloud environment
• Embrace agile development methodologies and help define the technical roadmap

• Collaborate effectively within a team and communicate designs and decisions throughout the development lifecycle

• 5+ years of software development experience with cloud application development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related industry experience
• Proven track record of delivering reliable, scalable, and performant distributed systems in a production cloud environment, preferably AWS
• Extensive experience building and using REST APIs
• Strong proficiency in Java (or any modern OO language) and concurrent programming

• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Postgre
  
  SQL, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with distributed in-memory data stores (Redis, Memcached, Hazelcast, or equivalent)
