Role DescriptionWork as part of the XVA development team to build and maintain the XVA simulation applications, tools, and functions for the XVA desk, trading desk, research department, and middle or back‑office teams across New York, London and Hong Kong. Compile business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for development. Provide technical vision and strategic oversight in all aspects of software solutions development and support.

Expertise
- Take responsibility for supporting both in‑house and external software solutions for daily XVA analysis and troubleshoot any production issues to ensure SLA compliance.
- Implement robust application functionalities in both in‑house and external solutions to support the XVA desk and other front‑ or middle‑office specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with business to assist and provide answers to Credit Risk analysis related enquiries.
- Continuously improve software performance, business processes, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct studies for new technology and provide a cutting‑edge development environment.
- Take responsibility for mission‑critical projects and provide technical support for the development environment, architecture, implementation, and operations.
- Work with business teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements, needs, or process gaps.
- Have excellent communication skills and ability to articulate, summarize, and explain technical concepts or issues. Capable of bridging understanding gaps and making progress.
- Be a good team player and work collaboratively with multiple teams across global offices. Also have the maturity to solve problems directly and independently.
- Maintain a strong work ethic, multitask, prioritize work, and deliver.
- Participate in periodic development meetings to align priorities, assign tasks, and share knowledge and experiences with teammates.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of other development team members.
- Experience working with technology vendors to deploy product solutions.
- Practical work experience with system architecture and software application, message and data transfer and processing. Ability to implement new products and troubleshoot existing models.
- Well‑versed in software implementation and proficient programming languages such as C/C++ and Python. Ability to automate processes via scripting languages and interest in other computing technologies and tools.
- Solid background and work experience with mathematical finance and strong analytical and quantitative skills, especially in financial products, XVA, and credit risk business logic.
- Functional understanding of application development planning processes such as Agile, Scrum, Dev Ops, change management, and testing procedures.
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and troubleshooting potential system issues; sharp mind to process solutions with quick turn‑around.
- Understanding of technical, infrastructure, data, and security requirements of developed solutions and ability to translate into adequate technical specifications and guidelines.
- Advanced understanding of current recovery solutions and high‑availability architectures.
