THE ROLE
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Wunder Graph, you are a technical leader and problem solver
. You combine deep expertise across the stack with the ability to design, implement, and deliver features that are robust, secure, and scalable. You don’t just write code; you shape solutions, set standards, and mentor teammates to raise the bar for engineering excellence.
You understand that speed and quality go hand in hand. You balance rapid delivery with clean, testable code that others can confidently build upon. You thrive on solving complex problems, proactively exploring new technologies, and contributing to both product success and the engineering culture.
You take initiative, operate with autonomy, and are comfortable making architectural decisions when needed. Most importantly, you know that great engineering happens as a team sport, you share knowledge, support others, and help drive Wunder Graph forward.
TEAM INTEGRATION- you report to the CTO
- you align with the CEO (product strategy) and the CCO (customer feedback)
- you collaborate closely with engineers across the stack, as well as product and customer‑facing teams
- you mentor junior and mid‑level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and guidance
You are successful if you:
- Deliver high‑quality features that are reliable, performant, and well‑tested.
- Take full ownership of components, from design to deployment and monitoring.
- Influence architecture and technical decisions to ensure scalability and maintainability.
- Proactively improve developer experience (DX) and customer‑facing experience (UX).
- Mentor and support teammates, helping the entire team grow stronger.
- Contribute to Wunder Graph’s open‑source presence and thought leadership.
The role focuses on, but is not limited to, these tasks:
Feature & System Development- Lead the design and implementation of features across our stack (Next.js, React, Type Script, Graph
QL, Tailwind). Golang nice to have. - Ensure code is robust, secure, performant, and testable.
- Proactively identify technical debt and propose solutions for long‑term maintainability.
- Establish and follow best practices in testing, documentation, and code reviews.
- Monitor system performance and telemetry data to anticipate issues.
- Run and orchestrate internal security reviews and penetration tests.
- Collaborate with product, design, and customer‑facing teams to refine requirements.
- Mentor peers, provide constructive code reviews, and share best practices.
- Engage with the open‑source community: analyze, manage, and review pull requests.
- Write clear, public‑facing documentation for features and libraries you build.
- Interact with customers to understand their use cases, gather feedback, and resolve issues.
- Translate customer needs into technical improvements that move the needle.
- Senior Level (IC4) professional experience in Full Stack Engineering.
- Proficiency in Node.js, and Type Script.
- Solid experience with React, Next.js, Graph
QL, and APIs (SOAP, gRPC, REST). Go a nice to have. - Strong understanding of software architecture, testing, and security practices.
- Proven track record of owning features end‑to‑end; open‑source contributions a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability.
- Excellent English communication skills for technical collaboration and documentation.
- Self‑starter with a strong ownership mentality; able to work independently in a startup environment.
