Iron Ledger is reducing the cost to manage housing, starting with automated accounting.

Hiring accountants is expensive ($100K+ annually) and the market is facing a shortage of back‑office workers (75% of CPAs are retiring in the next 8 years and property manager turnover is ~30% annually). We’re building agents to automate accounting for owners and managers of $2.6T+ in real estate assets.

• Build at the frontier of AI in Real Estate:
  Lead development of agents and AI‑enabled software for accounting and property management workflows.
• Be incredibly product‑focused:
  Translate product requirements and feedback directly from the customer into high‑quality features and magical user experiences.
• Wear many hats and be an owner:
  Partner and owner of Iron Ledger. Primarily focus on full‑stack development, but also travel with team to customers, gather feedback, and design your own product UI/UX.

As we grow, this role will transition into Iron Ledger’s Head of Engineering.

• 2+ years of software development with demonstrated experience building applications with foundational models, Vector DBs and AI agent frameworks.

  AWS, Next.js, Python, experience with Vector DBs, prompt engineering, and deploying agents into production (nice to have).

• Appreciation and curiosity for the “boring”, fundamental and complex problems like accounting and property management workflows. Dirty jobs!

We bring experience from multi‑billion‑dollar start‑ups like Rippling and Cruise, venture capital firms, and $100M in real‑estate development and management experience.

We are a small, flat team that enjoys lunches and dinners together, provides ~2 days of remote work per week, and will travel across the country with you to both serve customers, grind and relax!

The role will be based out of Iron Ledger's office in New York City.
