Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Our client, a leading Fin Tech organization, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join their engineering team remotely. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in the company’s growth by driving the full software development lifecycle, from design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance, to help shape products that positively impact millions of lives.

• As the Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible to architect and implement scalable back-end systems.
• Lead data engineering efforts across big data pipelines, including validation, cleaning, deduplication, matching, testing and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with a mission-driven engineering team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused solutions.
• Contribute to core enterprise data collection platforms that serve millions of users.
• Tackle complex challenges with simple, elegant, and scalable solutions - balancing rapid delivery with long-term vision.

• Extensive experience in back-end engineering and distributed system design.
• Strong background in data engineering, including large-scale data processing and optimization.
• Practical experience building and scaling microservices architectures.
• Proficiency across key technologies:
  Back-end (Go, Python), Cloud (AWS, Terraform) and Data (Postgre
  
  SQL, S3, Redis, Snowflake, Mongo
  
  DB).
• Skilled in developing, maintaining, and monitoring web services in AWS Lambda and containerized environments (e.g. Docker).
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and No
  
  SQL databases, with experience in both data warehouses and data lakes.
• Deep understanding and application of Agile methodologies, TDD, CI/CD pipelines and Dev Sec Ops  practices.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with excellent skills in translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
