Overview

Responsible for working with Precisely & IBM Clients, manage & resolve escalated issues relating to the Business to Business Integrator product suite and its associated product lines (B2BI, Global Mailbox, PEM, Sterling File Gateway). Primary activities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions, whether they be procedural, or product code changes. Will have various opportunities to develop new code, product enhancements/features. The engineer will require strong problem solving skills, communication skills and possible travel.

Seeking a seasoned, skilled developer with troubleshooting, communication & resolution building skills. Individual needs to be good at multi‑tasking, flexible with to deliver on commitment dates. Working at a sometimes high/stressful pace, but always maintaining calmness and clarity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define, analyze, and resolve customer escalations in a timely & accurate manner.
• Provide periodic updates to customers, co‑workers & management on the status of outstanding issues.
• Document complex issue resolutions for both the customer & internal reference as needed.
• Assist team members with complex issues to gain experience & exposure to more advanced problems.
• Contribute, review & maintain knowledge base content and product documentation as needed.
• Require periodic after‑hour / weekend coverage, done on a pager rotational basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience.
• Equivalent experience is accepted in place of the education requirement.
• Excellent communication (oral & written), analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• OS experience in one or more of Linux, UNIX, and/or Windows.
• Frameworks:
  Java, J2EE, Servlets, MDB, HTML, JNDI, JAX‑RS, JMS, JUnit, XML, JSON.
• Protocols: AS2/4, HTTP(S), FTP(S), SFTP, REST/APIs, RNIF, EBICS.
• Cloud experience in one or more of AWS, Azure, Google, IBM, Red Hat.
• CI/CD:
  Maven, Docker, IBM Cloud, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git Hub.
• Database experience in one or more of Oracle, DB2, MS SQL and/or MySQL.
• Ability to read and code through an object‑oriented language, preferred Java.
• Experience JVM stack traces.
• Strong understanding & experience of executing static & dynamic scans, fixing vulnerabilities.
