Software Engineer; Python, Java

We are seeking a highly skilledSoftware Engineer (with Python and Java) to join a digital/fintech company. As a member of the team responsible for the development and maintenance of backend systems that manage transaction flows between our platform and external networks, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and accuracy of our distributed architecture systems.

• Your daily responsibilities will include guaranteeing the robustness and correctness of transactional (gateway) systems, designing and developing new features for our clients, and maintaining high standards of code quality—focusing on reliability, security, scalability, and technical debt reduction.
• You will oversee projects from planning through deployment, maintaining ongoing communication with stakeholders throughout.
• You will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes both within the team and across the organization, support strategic planning in close collaboration with management and product teams, and provide mentorship to team members.
• Participation in an on-call rotation is also expected.

• Proven experience in developing and deploying software in production environments using Python and/or Java.
• Expertise in designing and working with distributed systems.
• Project leadership experience (technical leadership is an advantage).
• Outstanding communication skills, with an empathetic and collaborative approach.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness for continuous learning and professional growth.
• Interest in fintech or payment solutions is a plus.
• Availability to work in the US Eastern Time Zone (New York).
