Principal Software Engineer

Our full‑service HR solutions include payroll processing, human capital consulting, employment law compliance and employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans and workers’ compensation insurance.

• Architect and lead the planning, design, and development of new software solutions.
• Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and design software that meets business needs.
• Solve complex and ambitious problems by crafting elegant and impactful solutions, and generate concise analysis, reports, and presentations for internal and external customers.
• Contribute to technical innovations and define coding standards.
• Mentor and support other members of the software development team and contribute to best practices.
• Serve as an expert advisor to executives on current and future technologies for optimal impact on business strategies and results.
• Lead innovation across the organization by exploring new technologies, demonstrating proofs of concept, and incorporating them into the platform.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 12+ years of hands‑on object‑oriented programming experience in Java or Python and/or JavaScript UI frameworks.
• Experience architecting and designing enterprise‑wide web applications.
• Strong knowledge of cloud‑native CI/CD tools, micro‑service architecture, REST, gRPC, Graph
  
  QL, and serverless approaches.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Proven ability to mentor teams, drive strategic technical roadmaps, and deliver business outcomes.
• Experience building large‑scale platforms that handle real‑time complex transactions and troubleshooting distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of application security best practices and security‑by‑design principles.
