About the Team:

Warwickshire County Council is seeking skilled Social Workers to join their Kinship Assessment Team. If you're passionate about helping children remain within their extended families when they can't live with birth parents, this is an ideal opportunity.

Kinship is a specialist team within our broader fostering service, focusing on assessment of kinship foster carers and Special Guardians. We are a dedicated team, passionate about improving the lives of our children and young people and ensuring Kinship carers receive the support and recognition they deserve.

We are seeking social workers to assess prospective Kinship carers and Special Guardians. Your role will involve attending key meetings such as All About Me Reviews, legal planning meetings and fostering panel. You will need to manage your own caseload, ensuring compliance with legislation, policy, and national standards.

About the Role:

We are recruiting for the role of Kinship Social Worker in our Kinship Assessment Team covering Warwickshire and at times out of county
, full-time, fixed term on 12 months basis.

  • The role is to assess Kinship carers and determine suitability, there will be close working with Children’s teams and legal.
