LAS VEGAS, NV (home office in Lynden, WA). Children's House International is an international adoption agency with 50 years of experience. The agency is new to Nevada, but licensed in 6 states and 13 countries.
Part-time Social Worker, conducting international home studies, writing post-adoption reports, and supporting families through document adoption process and beyond. Extremely flexible schedule. Competitive compensation on a fee-for-service basis. Paid training.
Must live in the Las Vegas area. Must hold an MSW. It is a very rewarding position helping families and children find their forever homes.
- Conduct adoptive home study interviews and home inspections and write reports.
- Conduct home visits and interviews for post-adoption reports.
- Guide families to local resources.
- Involvement with family and the case management of that family.
- Maintain database and digital family files for each case (case manager available to assist you).
- Proven work experience as a social worker.
- International adoption experience is a plus.
- Social perceptiveness and empathy.
- Organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships.
- Ability to relate and communicate with diverse populations and groups.
- Resilience along with the ability to assess situations.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the state in which you are located.
- Willing to submit to background checks.
- Holds an MSW.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
50% On the road to visit family homes and 50% remotely writing up reports.
ScheduleChoose your own hours. Monday-Friday or weekends if preferred.
