Grant Processing Administrator (Government)—Remote
Administrative professional role supporting public sector grant administration and childcare affordability funding programs in Alberta. Involves data tracking, stakeholder communication, financial reporting support, and policy interpretation within a government environment. Remote role requiring strong analytical and coordination skills.
What is in it for you:
• Hourly salary of $53-63, based on experience.
• 12-month contract with a maximum extension term of 12 months.
• Full-time position: hours per week.
• Weekday schedule from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.

Responsibilities:
• Support the administration of childcare affordability funding programs designed to reduce childcare fees to an average of $15 per day.
• Provide clear, accurate, and timely information to stakeholders including parents, childcare staff, educators, and childcare providers regarding grant policies and program requirements.
• Assist in resolving complaints and complex inquiries related to grant funding and affordability initiatives while ensuring timely follow-up.
• Track, analyze, and maintain program data with a high level of accuracy across databases and reporting systems.
• Guide childcare operators in meeting affordability grant financial reporting requirements and compliance expectations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent interpretation and application of grant policies and procedures.
• Support program implementation activities and administrative processes related to funding programs.
• Maintain documentation, records, and reporting materials required for program monitoring and accountability.
What you will need to succeed:
• 2-year post-secondary education in business, public administration, social science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience using the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Outlook.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience managing and monitoring large datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing customer service, technical troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience using Microsoft Outlook for email messaging, task management, and calendar tracking.
Nice to Have
• Minimum of 1 year of experience using accounting principles and Canadian public sector accounting standards.
• Minimum of years of experience with Child Care in Alberta (Licensing, Subsidy, Funding, etc.).
• Minimum of years of experience guiding childcare operators in meeting program requirements.
• Minimum of years of experience working with childcare grant funding programs in Alberta.
• Minimum of years of experience working with the Childcare Licensing Portal and the Child Care Information System.
