This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Volunteer Coordinator - REMOTE. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining a comprehensive volunteer service program that supports hospice patients and families. The ideal candidate will oversee the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to succeed.
You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to match volunteers with suitable assignments and ensure compliance with regulations. This role presents an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those receiving hospice care.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer recruitment program to attract qualified individuals who align with our organization's values and mission.
- Maintain an effective volunteer training and orientation program, ensuring timely onboarding and ongoing training.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, state regulations, and accreditation standards for volunteer programs.
- Assign volunteers to appropriate roles and responsibilities based on their skills and availability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer personnel files.
- Attend Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings to collaborate with team members.
- Actively participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities.
- Track and maintain monthly statistics related to the volunteer program.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with hospice or volunteer experience.
- Familiarity with Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with training/facilitation and public speaking.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
