About The Post

Barnsley MBC has a strategic commitment to end Rough Sleeping. Our vision is to provide people with the right accommodation and support to build their resilience and sustain independent living. To support this vision a Housing led support team has been established. The Housing Led Support Team uses evidenced based approaches to provide personalised, trauma informed support to people who are rough sleeping or who are at risk of rough sleeping.

Support is provided at the projects 24-hour residential base or in the community.

We are looking for people who share our commitment and passion for ending rough sleeping. You will be able to work with people who have a range of needs and behaviours with empathy, patience, and persistence.

We are seeking to recruit a dedicated, enthusiastic, and motivated Housing Led Caseworker who will act as the lead professional for the people we support. Being a great listener and excellent communicator is therefore a must. You will have a hands-on, dynamic, and proactive approach to support as well as believing in the aims of the project and sharing the values that underpin it;

in that you believe everyone should have a home.

The right person will be committed to creating and working in a psychologically informed environment, always willing to try new approaches in meeting the needs of the people you support.
