Restorative Justice Advisor, -pro rata Hybrid; Home Worker

The position:

To act as an expert point of contact and advocate within Norfolk Constabulary and with other Criminal Justice and Victim Services; to develop and deliver the Restorative Justice service to include delivering a variety of training, promotional events and coordinating and delivering RJ interventions with victims and offenders.

Do you have a successful track record of facilitating and delivering restorative justice interventions along with a proven ability to manage own workload with demonstrable experience of delivering work to agreed timescales? We are looking for people with an ability to demonstrate experience delivering Restorative Justice or other relevant knowledge with transferrable skills that can be directly evidenced. Our successful candidate will hold good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage at all levels, and be able to demonstrate experience of delivering training and/or promotional events preferably in relation to Restorative Justice or in a similar or related area.

Location:

The office locations are Wymondham, or Aylsham Police Investigation Centre. You may also be required to work from other locations and Police Investigation Centres.

It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrate a clear understanding of the benefits of restorative justice to victims, offenders, and the wider community.
• A successful track record of facilitating and delivering restorative justice interventions.
• Proven ability to manage own workload with demonstrable experience of delivering work to agreed timescales.
• Proven ability to work effectively both on their own initiative and as part of a team.
• Accredited practitioner or ability to demonstrate substantial experience delivering RJ or other experience where identifiable or suitable transferrable skills can be directly evidenced and if appropriate a willingness to work towards accredited status at the earliest opportunity.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage at all levels.
• Demonstrate experience to successfully deliver and complete defined packages of work.
• Experience of delivering training and/or promotional events preferably in relation to RJ or in a similar or related area.

It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:

• Accredited restorative justice trainer (Restorative Justice Council RJC)
• Knowledge and experience of working in partnership with criminal justice agencies.
• Has completed a recognised RJ ‘Train the Trainer’ course
• Experience of creating, using and maintaining internet, intranet and social media content
• Experience of managing or supervising staff

Hours of work are 3 x 7.5 hours per day per week. This post is offered on a temporary basis until March 31st 2027.
