St Leger Homes is an award‑winning social housing provider that manages over 19,000 homes on behalf of the City of Doncaster Council. The Housing Services department plays an essential role in delivering frontline services for St Leger Homes tenants and other customers seeking stability in their housing needs.
The Housing Management and Access to Homes Teams are key service areas within St Leger Homes and provide exciting career opportunities across a wide variety of roles. The services delivered include:
- Homelessness & Housing Options
- Move on from Temporary accommodation
- Single Point of Access (SPOA)
- Housing Allocations
- Mutual Exchanges
- Ongoing Housing Management to new and existing tenants, including Safeguarding & ASB
- Rotate through the various teams, working across diverse services and locations to deliver front‑line services to customers and liaise with partners.
- Gain experience in Homelessness service (Home options), Home Choice, Housing Management and Safeguarding & Anti‑Social Behaviour.
- Develop a broad and extensive understanding of housing services and processes, tenancy management, community safety and safeguarding.
- Studying for a relevant degree course that includes housing or a related function.
- Knowledge of legislation in relation to homelessness and housing allocations.
- Experience carrying out research and presenting findings verbally or in writing.
- Excellent communication skills, required for engaging customers and partner organisations.
- Paid fixed‑term contract up to 31 August 2027.
- Salary of £24,244 per annum.
- One‑to‑one and team mentorship/support.
- On‑the‑job training.
- 27 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays (full‑time equivalent).
