This is not a sales position; our counselors host pre-scheduled appointments with members.
This is a remote role with very limited travel required.

We’re searching for financial professionals who have a passion for helping people achieve their financial goals. An ideal counselor is able to share new perspectives around money management and drive home the value of a long term counseling relationship. Counselors are instrumental in inspiring behaviors and financial habits that lead to a brighter future.

We provide full-spectrum financial counseling and education, and we are specifically interested in CFPs, ChFC, or AFCs, preferably with a background in working with military service members, to counsel in the wide range of topics including: budget, debt, credit, etc. This would be a perfect fit for those who have served as a Personal Financial Counselor (PFC) or an equivalent role.

We serve a wide range of corporations and organizations across both the public and private sectors. We are currently looking to expand our pool of financial counselors, with a particular need for individuals who have prior military experience or a strong background in supporting military service members and their families.

• Your deep conviction in the benefits of financial counseling compels you to lead clients to invest in an ongoing relationship
• You have a knack for making financial concepts easy to understand
• You research complex issues to develop innovative strategies
• You have masterful verbal and written communication skills
• You enjoy fast pace, can multi-task, and take detailed notes
• We will guide you through a comprehensive and engaging training program – so if you have these qualities, but haven’t been a counselor, we’ll equip you for success.
• Flexible and available to work a varied schedule from Monday to Friday between 4:00 am and 7:00 pm PT, with availability to work one weekend a month.

• 5+ years experience in a relevant consumer finance arena
• AFC, CFP, ChFC certifications (required)
• Previous military experience or experience supporting military service members (preferred)
• Motivational skills to inspire behavioral change around personal financial habits
• Proven track record persuading clients to engage in value-added services and solutions
• Superlative listening skills that lead you to empathy and understanding
• Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
• A high level of comfort with computers, software, and technology
• An openness to a culture of continuous development
• A passion for helping people in need
• Due to the nature of the contract we are hiring for, U.S. Citizenship is required for this specific role
• Ability to travel on occasion may be required.
