Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated Part-time Mentors/Home-Based Counselors to join our team and work with youth r parents with mental health or behavioral needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in mentoring, educating, and addiction counseling. As a Mentor/Home-Based Counselor, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting individuals through challenging situations, offering valuable insights and encouragement.

• Provide one-on-one mentoring/counseling to individuals seeking guidance and support
• Educate and empower individuals to make positive life choices
• Utilize conflict management skills to navigate challenging situations effectively
• Work closely with adolescents and young adults, providing mentorship and guidance
• Collaborate with probation/parole officers and other professionals to ensure holistic support for individuals

• Education:
  Bachelor's degree in Human Services
• License/Certification: QMHP - A/C preferred. Offering a higher rate if certified as a QMHP.
• Experience
  :
  Previous experience working with adolescent youth and/or families.
• Training
  :
  Attendance at required training sessions is mandatory.
• Intervention Skills
  :
  Ability to deliver effective, evidence-based behavioral interventions tailored to individual service plans.
• Compliance
  :
  Adherence to all program policies and procedures.
• Reliability
  :
  Dependability and commitment to scheduled time commitments.
• Communication
  :
  Regular communication with program staff, submission of activity reports, and implementation of interventions that align with mentee objectives and goals.
• Availability
  :
  Availability to work with mentees at least two days a week, including after school hours and weekends.
• Travel
  :
  Willingness to travel up to 50 miles; must be a licensed driver in good standing.
• Background Check
  :
  Must have a clean criminal history.
