An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Social Worker to join a Community Review Team based in the beautiful region of Lothian
. This role is initially offered for 12 weeks
, with a strong likelihood of extension
, giving you the chance to make a meaningful impact through direct payment reviews under Option 1 Self-Directed Support

You will be primarily based at John Muir House, Haddington
, with a flexible blend of office and home working
. As the role involves travel across East Lothian
, a full UK driving licence is essential
.

What you will do:

Undertake comprehensive reviews for individuals receiving Option 1 Self-Directed Support direct payments

Assess care arrangements
, ensuring support remains appropriate, effective, and outcome-focused

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality review outcomes

Produce clear, accurate documentation
, including recommendations for changes or improvements to support

Communicate effectively with service users, carers, and partner agencies

Apply legislation and best practice
, maintaining professional and statutory standards
